Frequently asked questions
What happens in the first session?
In our first nutrition session, I'll gather an understanding about your chid's history including developmental, medical, feeding, growth and nutritional history and your child's and family goals.
How much does it cost?
The cost of working with me varies depending on the services you require. I offer a sliding scale if you have a health care card. Please contact me directly for a Schedule of Fees. Fees are payable on the day of service.
Do I join online or in person?
I offer telehealth sessions
NDIS funding
Joy of You can accept NDIS self-managed funding, as we are not registered as an NDIS provider, therefore are not able to accept plan-managed funds or NDIS agency managed funds. Payment from the family is required on the day of service as for all other private paying clients and families can claim funds back from NDIA after payment using the processes for self-managed participants via the NDIS app.
Medicare Rebates
Joy of You is registered provider with Medicare. Medicare rebates may be available for some children under the Chronic Disease Management Program, or Enhanced Primary Care Plan. Please speak to your GP to determine eligibility.
